Played the six handed event but didn’t last long. Raised pre flop with K J from the button. I have a set of kings on a bord of K 4 3 Q K but had been called by K 3 who made a boat. I couldn’t survive it as it was early and too few chips. Played the second chance tonight for $200. Almost 200 players and went out 30th. Played well and thoroughtly enjoyed myself. Play again tomorrow at 1 pm.

This game continues to teach me things, about the game, about me and about my emotions. I’ve learned how to play the cards and the players, but keeping emotions out of it is an ever challenging thing. This summer at a charity event I was asked to attend and play – and then yesterday – I ran into the same type of insipid, pompous player who think they know it all. Their condescending attitude at the table continues to rankle me. I have to learn to control it .. and I will. Yesterday was a reminder of this summer’s unpleasantness and how I need to continue practicing insulating myself. Another Lesson I’m learning.
