Wanted to play Bellagios Senior $1500 event but was worried about the numbers. Turns out they topped 100. So went to Caesars and am in their $550 event. 152 entered. 85 remain. Avg chips 17k and I’m a dime over that.
Entered the 1k event at Caesars today. 98 total entries. After a slow start (my usual in tourneys it seems) I got some traction. At 26 players my queens ran into aces …
Spent the day working on things … pilates at 8 a.m. then the children and math tutoring after school. They’re in first grade and I had to send a note to the teacher asking the following: “Instructions say Write the naming sound in each of the following sentences … what, pray tell,is the naming sound. Noun? Verb? The teacher circled noun and sent it back. Why wouldn’t they teach nouns vs. naming word … geez … maybe I just hated feeling so stupid with first grade homework.
Too much poker for me and I need a break. The children have a birthday party to attend, which will be a pleasant distraction for my overworked mental psyche. Will take a day to rest my brain, lick my wounds and regroup to return to the tables. This poker tournament gig isn’t for the faint of heart – 30 years in politics definitly the right backdrop.
Spent the day at Bellagio’s 1k event. 180 players and lasted to 54. Frustrating up and down day poker wise. Like being on a roller coaster – probably the hardest thing for me to deal with.
Had a good night’s sleep, ran errands and picked up children. Getting ready for tomorrows Bellagio tournament. Their turnout for the high buy in events have been low but a good prize pool for the $540 events. Of course, leaving registration open for five hours hurts them, I believe, but then what do I know. I’m just a player.
