Anyone who knows me knows I love to try new things. New foods, skin creams, drinks – I’m your huckleberry.

I tried a new natural cream – they are quick to say it isn’t a lotion – last week and its the best I’ve ever used. It is made of all the things I ingest daily , specifically aloe vera, and I can already tell the difference.

Played at Red Rock today .. and now I know why I don’t play Red Rock on a regular basis .. in fact I’ve never played there before. People were nice of course, but no big games and sort of the same old thing. Only advantage is it is two miles from the house but think I’ll continue to drive to the Strip, it’s worth the extra miles.

It’s the New Year which is always a hurried time for me .. time to look at new deals, time to sort my time, time to get my priorities going in the direction I want.

I like where it’s all headed. Should be lots of good, substantial poker along with some interesting deals I want to put my efforts into .. will keep you posted here.

Think I’ll play Hard Rock’s tournament tomorrow …

Was invited to Mesquite by Carole Carr for Jan Fisher and Linda Johnson’s annual event at Eureka. Dropped the children at school and headed north. Tournament had 50 players and was a LOT of fun, no wonder they love going there. Only lasted half the tournament but did well at cash. They invited me to dinner with their “Canadian” friends and that was just great all around. Nice to have such nice friends.

The children have been out of school, the trip is behind us, we’ve had school friends over and they’ve been shuttled to friends’ homes. We’ve watched movies, popped popcorn, read and learned .. now we’re getting focused back on school. Today I will play my first poker of 2010, at Bellagio, with friends in town. It’s going to be a GREAT year, all the way around ..

I brought in 2010 in the quiet way. Everyone was asleep upstairs and I watched the fireworks and show on TV from the guest room. I have made a lot of resolutions for myself – from continuing to take care of myself to digging deeper into my inner child – as self improvement has always been my gig. I am excited about the New Year, it’s new and can be full of great things. I love the New Year, it’s like being handed a new slate. So 2010 I’m ready .. bring it on.
