On the Road Again
Dons grandchildren are here. We all went to eat. All four kids rode back with me. Richard is 12 Leah is 10. Richard says to Lincoln you can’t do that because you’re my uncle. Lincoln says I’m not old enough to be an uncle, I’m only 8 years old. I’m only old enough to be a niece.
Funny.

On the Road Again
As all my readers know, I’ve worked hard to keep Hayden’s memory alive for his younger siblings. They were only three when he crossed over and simply too young to know him. That pains me deeply … as anyone can imagine. Hayden’s motororized scooter has been in storage for a while, just too painful to see it parked in the garage. We got it out and charged it up. I rode with both children then taught them how to do it. Lincoln stands tall and I say “boy, Lincoln, Hayden sure would be proud to see you driving his scooter.” Lincoln doesn’t miss a beat and says “What do you mean Mom, HAYDEN IS PROUD TO BE WATCHING ME ON HIS SCOOTER …” does a mother’s heart good to have such a spirtual child around me.

I used to try to post more frequently but things are moving at such a pace now that’s a little challenging. Better than being slow I guess. We returned, Lincoln is fine, better than ever so I am quite grateful. The children are doing fabulous and just a joy.
I played the Caesars Main Event and played well, going out short of the money at 84 out of 500 something, but pleased with how I played. So more than okay with it. It’s been a good hectic week with my continuing to be convinced I can do better. Which I can. That is my nature.
A dear friend sent me a ceramic dish with a little engine on it. He knows my favorite book is the little engine that could. He had the artist inscribe THBTC? When I called to thank him he asked me if I knew what the initials stood for. Told him I was confused with the B as that couldn’t stand for engine. He said it stands for The Little Blonde That Could. Ha fir my laugh this week.
