A bus load of politicians were driving down a country road one afternoon, when all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer’s field.

Seeing what happened, the old farmer went over to investigate. He then proceeded to dig a hole and bury the politicians.

A few days later, the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and asked the old farmer, “Were they all dead?”

The old farmer replied, “Well, some of them said they weren’t, but you know how them politicians lie.”

I think I’ve made a successful run at my life. I know I try harder and work harder than almost anyone I know. When asked what I think the true key to success really is I had to think it through, carefully. I’ve concluded it is attitude. The key to success and the key to being a success is attitude. The key to life is attitude. We all have challenges, we all have our moments, but it is how you handle those things which defines true success. At least that is my belief ….

My stories all seem to be about Lincoln, but, well, he’s a unique character. Having been through so much he just sees the world differently. He came to me Friday night and said there was something wrong with his tooth. I looked at his bloody tooth and told him it looked like one was coming out. “No, it isn’t” he insisted. Five minutes later he shows up and says “Well what do you know, Mom, you were right” and he’s holding a tooth in his hand. That night I looked and I didn’t have many singles so the Tooth Fairy felt generous and left him a five and a single. Six dollars. He was thrilled. Next day, he tells me about another tooth, on top, a real baby tooth, tiny. By nights end it came out. He comes to me holding it and says “I bet she won’t leave me more than fifty cents for this tooth.”. I could NOt follow his train of thought. “why 50 cents for that one Linc?” I ask. “Well look at the size of it Mom, it isn’t worth more than fifty cents.”. I had to think quick. “So you think the Tooth Fairy pays you based on the size of the tooth?” I say. “Of course she does Mom, why else would she collect them?.” What logic. That night I scrounged the bottom of my purse for change and do the switch. Next morning Lincoln gets up all proud as a peacock. “I was right, Mom, that big tooth was worth six dollars and the baby tooth was worth 63 cents. I was right.”. Sure makes me laugh out loud, that’s for sure.

Damn That’s Funny ..

I’m at the airport in Little Rock waiting to fly out. I decided to have a beer at a little pub next to the gate. Guy behind the counter asks me if I like draft. I tell him I LOVE draft beer and don’t get why they don’t sell sets which would put draft in people’s homes. “It’s easy” the guy says ” as long as you have some refrigeration at home” Guy at the bar quips “I’ve got a refrigerator at home, it’s in the front yard, right next to that washing machine and old car.” I laugh out loud and hand him a card …”this will be on this blog in about five minutes my friend”. I’m still laughing. Gotta love it.

Had an early morning flight to Little Rock and went to kiss the gators bye. Sierra just rolled over but Lincoln opened one eye. “Where are you going again Mom?” he asked. “Little Rock” I said. “Is there a Big Rock?”. Kids make me laugh, their perspective. I don’t know if there’s a big rock but it sure makes one wonder why the little over the big. I will ask while here.

I love good jokes

The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands. The instructor said, Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier. Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass or a path.

Gentlemen, remember — you’re in this together. It wouldn’t hurt you to go walking with her. In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both.
The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments a man at the back of the room slowly raised his hand. Yes, said the Instructor.
I was just wondering if it would be all right if she carries a golf bag while we walk.

Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it? This kind of sensitivity just can’t be taught.
