Camping Out

Well anyone who knows me won’t be surprised to learn camping out isn’t my thing. And that was true long before I became a Queen. It’s a lot of hard work, there’s a lot of mud and some real strange sounds in the woods. We are having a good time though. When we first took off we had sleet, rain, fog and some hellacious winds. I mean serious winds. When Don relieved me from driving he said man this is tedious. I say yeah if I wanted this kind of tension I would go play a big poker tournament. He thought I was kidding. I said no it’s the same thing, one wrong move and you’re out.

Loved this, Nancy. Made me laugh, but I know what you’re talking about. Those things can be tricky to drive in, especially in the wind. My brother had a mortorhome and then traded for another one that he bought right before he died. He was very proud of it and when he showed it to me, it was the last time I saw him feeling good enough to be up and around. Good memories.
