On the Road Again
A soldier was stationed abroad and received a “Dear John” letter from his girlfriend back home. It read: “Dear Dave, I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated twice, since you’ve been gone, and it’s not fair to either of us. I’m sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent you. Love, Kim.”
The soldier, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, cousins, etc. In addition to the picture of Kim, Dave included all the other pictures of pretty girls he had collected from his buddies. There were 43 photos in the envelope along with a note that read: “Dear Kim, I’m so sorry but I can’t remember who you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me. Take care, Dave.”

I like to think I can fimd humor im most things, at least I try. Every state, every campaign, ends up with a classic story. Might have the one for Arkansas but the effort is young. Went to a restaurant and at the end I turned to the lady and said “what do you have for desssert” and she says “Let me see if the grease is still hot” and I smile and say but I don’t want to know if the grease is still hot, just what’s on the dessert menu. She says but all of our desserts are fried. it was just so classic because of the presumption. I didn’t order anything but considered a cholestrol test ..

Tonight, May 3rd at the Fox and the Hound, professional poker player and political consultant will be playing the first game at the Fox and the Hound. Nancy Todd is the 2008 WPT Woman’s League Champion and also owns an international strategic consulting firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Todd has been a consultant to over 196 campaigns in 42 states and six countries, with a winning record of 98 percent. Not only is Todd playing with us tonight, she has some poker news to share with the AIPL members. I’m certain, that her news will also hit the media outlets in the next couple of weeks so I would be on the lookout for it. I’ll give you a hint: In 1992, Todd ran the campaign to legalize casinos in Biloxi, Mississippi, after a local effort had failed, as she believed in the benefits of gaming “when done right.” Since that historic effort, she has been involved in every major legislation where gaming has been held to high standards.

The movie All In has been getting lots of buzz. Can only order from iTunes, which I did. Enjoyed it. Shouldn’t be called a movie though. Should be called a documentary as its a history of poker.

On the Road Again
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.”
– T. E. Lawrence
