Here’s an inciteful article which mirrors what I think is happening in this industry, it simply isn’t on the radar screen of many of the people who need to be focused on it right now. http://news.bluffmagazine.com/the-fight-uigea-anniversary-bad-news-from-harry-reid-24890/
Had a crazy day at the tables, raise with QQ, two callers, small blind, a crazy player in her own right, shoves when the flop is 10 4 2 rainbow, I’m sure my QQ was good but for all my stack and only 2500 in the pot, I fold. So what if she had a small piece and catches another, I’ve seen that before. A ridiculous play. Then flop a boat with QQ on a JQJ board, four on the turn and get it all in and of course, his AJ gets a fourth J on the river. Could have been an ace, but I was running bad. Glad I was in cheap and glad to take the break.
Been dark as been playing … made the final table of the $540 the other night and played it out yesterday. What can I say final tables aren’t my specialty – yet – and when it wasn’t going well, got bored and got out. I will work on that. Finished 6th for a $2275 return on my money. Got into the mega satellite with seats for the $5k which starts today and won that at midnight. Only 15 people won … this one hand brought a SCREAM from me in the poker room, which ended up being the talk of the night. Flop a set of Queens and shove, aces call and it goes runner runner to give him the spade flush. You could hear my shriek for quite a ways. I had a few thousand left over and parlayed it into enough to skate through .. whew. Play today at noon.
I seem to have fallen down on posting here but not for lack of interest. Things have been busy but all in a good way. It’s intriguing when there are so many balls in the air and I’m just not sure what will shake out. More as it develops.
Did a lengthy one last week which covered a lot of things which are important to me, otherwise, why would I take the time to do it …. enjoy.
