On the Road Again
I’ve stated already I think this year is going to be GREAT. Read something yesterday which made me laugh .. and greatly encapsulates my thoughts for the New Year.
It said: “If you’re scared about trying new stuff …. remember amateurs built the Ark and professionals built the Titanic.” I have laughed and thought about it a lot. Like it. Great motto ….

On the Road Again
Lincoln woke me up by saying “Mom, I hate to wake you up but is it true if you’re rich you can invent your own words?” I say uhhh Lincoln anyone can invent words. He says I was just wondering and disappears. Have no real idea what was behind it but it made me laugh, and that always a good thing.
I went to Bellagio to play their daily tournament. They’ve changed their structure (again) and now it’s unlimited rebuts. Sigh. A reminder why I hate re buy tournaments.

On the Road Again
I for one am excited about the new year. Friends were at the kitchen table tonight and Sierra asked “what’s your favorite year?” No one had a strong answer. My answer: 2011. Yes I know I always think positively but no one has ever been able to convince me that is such a bad thing. Had a nice dinner with good friends last night and today the family went to eat. It’s a mere 35 degrees outside, and the fountain outside my house is making icicles so getting out of this warm house once was a big deal. We also went to check on the motorhome to make sure the water inside the lines were allright … it’s really cold, but all is well. Happy New Year all … it’s going to be GREAT!

On the Road Again
There’s lots of good things going on in business so 2011 is shaping up to be a banner year. My office looks like a hurricane, well worse than the usual hurricane, and lots to catch up on. Sort of glad to have the day/week unexpectedly.

On the Road Again
We woke up in California and voted 4-0 to skip Disneyland and head home. We have all had about all we could stand with torrential rains, no sun and cold. We got in about 6:30 last night, I got the Santa things all done and that was it. This morning Lincoln woke me up with an entire dissertation of how strange it was that Santa filled his stocking with the very kinds of candy we have here in the house. He speculated that Santa has magical powers and knows what each child likes and on and on. Little does he know Santa hadn’t expected us here today and had to make do.
This is the first real year where the children have seen the joy of giving gifts. I was quite touched to see Sierra’s insistence I open what she had made for me before she opened her own gifts. A nice sign indeed.
All is well in my world. God bless.

On the Road Again
We got up this morning and headed for Universal Studios. It isn’t raining but the sun isn’t shining either. Only about 50 degrees which for me is just plain miserable. How do
people do it? The day was good but brutally cold but a good day nonetheless. 12 days and no sunshine, not one day of putting on sunglasses. About ready to head home
