It seems I’ve spent most of professional life in meetings. I don’t like them. In campaigns, I was known to have them with all of us standing, no chairs in my office, as it kept it short and sweet and succinct. Sometimes you can’t get away from them though and today seemed to be one of them. Just seems to be such a waste of time and I rarely leave a meeting glad I had it, oh well ….

Not much to report today as I am just trying to figure out which end is up. There’s my business world, then there’s my poker world and the two don’t cross too much. So when I abandon biz to do poker there’s a little refocusing to get back in the swing.

Big gaming conference in town so got to do some business while people are here.

Well, well having been gone since the 4th it is just great to be back home. Everyone glad to see me, especially the gators, who I was able to pick up from school. I don’t know who was happier – me or them – but great to be so loved. To say I am beat up would be an under statement.

Well I hung on as long as I could. My short stack was just enough to strike fear but I had to win some races. My A 10 suited on the button but only had to get through the blinds but the BB woke up with a pair of fives and my hand didn’t improve. I was very pleased with my play through the entire two days.

At 5:00 pm there was a 3k event that drew over 40 top notch players. I made the final table with some great players but my 8th place finish was two short of the money. Rough day. Get some sleep and go see my little guys tomorrow. Can’t wait.

Had a BRUTAL day yesterday and am still recovering. About the third hand in yesterday I raise with Queens, one caller. Flop JJJ, which although it looked good at the beginning, ended up being bad with AJ. Did sound the day recovering. But I’m still alive. Getting ready to go back to it tomorrow.

Well I spent the day at The Bike. Brutal day for me, worse than most. I made some mistakes but also had very little to work with. And a very aggressive table, which I don’t mind as that is generally where you can make some money but it was tough all the way around. Started with 30k. Ended with 21k. 330 players started. Ended with 160. Return On Sunday
