Well I’m a pretty easy traveler. Show up early, entertain myself and be easy going but today just tried my patience. Left the hotel at 7:30 am. Got a couple of things at the airport as I hadn’t been out at all, get on the plane and wait. The 11:15 flight at 3:15 gets canceled. No Dallas arrival today. I was able to barely make a Paris to NYC flight. The luggage wasn’t checked all the way through as it was one airline from Paris and another from NYC. And I was 8 terminals difference. I did make it and my luggage made it. I got my rental car and got to the hotel about 2:30 am. This girl needs sleep. Bad.

World Series of Poker

So what will you see  heads up today?  Duhamel has a 6 to 1 chip lead so racener will be trying to keep the pots small (and aiming for a much needed double up for sure) and duhamel will be trying to force every hand to be a race for all of raceners chips as racener cant survive the loss but duhamel can. But I wouldnt discount racener. He’s SMART and he is patient and he is more experienced. Duhamel played the final table more like a cash game specialist,  which he what he is  is. For duhamel to crack a pair of threes with A 9 off, wow, when he  was way way behind, but he is definitely running good and has been the whole Series.  Obviously. Im praying for a double up for racener early and then youre going to see some phenomenal poker. Some spectacular poker. Without the double up racener is going to have a rough time as duhamel has no fold equity against raceners current chip stack.  Im rooting for Racener

Well its cold and its wet but it is still Paris. On Saturday i went to the Aviation Club de Paris and splashed around for a while. I love that place as long before i began to play and they showcased it with WPT events I saw the Thunderbird fighter planes and was reminded of my father. He always spoke about going there. And now, long after he has left this world, his daughter is playing there. What a wowser!

My annual meeting with the people Ive known and respected the most professionally over 30 years started starts tomlrrow. I flew all Thursday night, slept and relaxed Friday and headed for for a day of adventure today. Was going to go see the sights again but when i went downstairs it was pouring down rain. I went promptly to the Concierge and had him call The Aviation Club de Paris to see about their tournaments. One started at 2:30 and off i went. So while the rest of the delegation went to museums in the rain i went and fed my passion – poker. Made a few hundred euros and had a lot of fun. Conference starts tomorrow. What fun. My two passions – poker and politics – at the same time in the same city. I am happy indeed
