Well it’s almost here, election day. I’m sure we will all be excited to see it end as it’s been a vicious, mean spirited and hostile election season.

For those in Nevada, you need to read the link below. I endorse it and it’s written by a friend of mine. And remember VOTE ….

While waiting for Sierra to get out of dance I noticed Lincoln was in deep thought. What’s on your mind Big L I asked. He said “I’m thinking how much I love you.” I say “well, what did you come up with?” He said “you’re right below God.”

Well right below God is a wonderful place to be. I must be doing something right. Warms a mother’s soul … that’s for sure

Anyone who knows me knows I love kids, yours, mine, anyones. It was later in my life before I knew I was meant to influence little minds.

I picked the kids up from school the other day and like all kids after school they were starving. Lincoln wanted a sandwich and he was slapping the bread around. The roast which was cooking wasn’t yet ready, the nitrate free lunchmeat was all gone but I had some organic chicken. Lincoln grabbed at it and began to throw it on the bread. I suggested mayonnaise. He responded he didn’t want to wait that long as he was too hungry. He heads to the kitchen table with a dry chicken sandwich and I sit down with him. How’s your sandwich Lincoln I ask. “Okay” he says, “but every time I pick it up it starts to fall everywhere.” ‘That’s why some mayonnaise would have been a good idea Lincoln, you know to help hold it together,” I say. “Well, yeah, maybe” Lincoln responds, “but I’ve been thinking if I just had some duct tape for food I could hold it together just fine.”

Kids make me laugh .. and that’s always a good thing.

This getting out of town in November is always a big hustle. I have so much to do to meet up with my friends of 30 years and this year it is in Paris. I do look forward to this conference every year, enjoy the people so very much but always so much to do. Leave on the 4th .. can’t wait but as usual I’m so beat up I will sleep all the way there .. nothing wrong with that.

Well got everything done over the weekend I needed to do in order to go to play a tournament today. Went to Caesars at noon only to discover the $500 event was yesterday and the noon event, at $200 only had 25 people in it. What’s that crowd over there I asked? It was the Seniors, $200 event with 109 players so I jumped in there. At dinner break, down to 23 I was still rocking. Had aces, finally, one time, called by the big blind when I raised under the gun and the flop was K 10 9, what had he called me with … 10/9. Reasonable enough but my big stack was gone, ended up 15th when trying to make a move. 9th was no good as it was barely making the return of your buy in so was trying to accummulate more but alas someone woke up with QQ and my ace didn’t improve. Next time.

Caesars starts today but didn’t feel like playing so decided to wait until Sunday. See they have a $500 event starting then.
