Want to play the Main Event tomorrow so went down to play a mega for my seat. Won it, late in the night so playing tomorrow at noon. Such fun.
Well I haven’t posted as I’ve been just working hard. Had a few days in L. A. which means my sister comes from Denver to help, always nice to have her here. Then Don was there by himself so I’ve been on baby duty as we call it, although at 8 they are far from babies. The children have told me one of their favorite classmates’ mother is sick so he and his suitcase have moved to another classmates house. That breaks my heart. I told them to tell him he was more than welcome at our house and to get his mother’s number. This is something we can definitely help with. Got to be heart wrenching for the mother.
Haven’t played in a long time so went to play the Bellagio $540 which is the start of their Festa del Lago event today. There were 343 players which was a great turnout with first of 42k. I struggled with few cards and through hard work I managed to work my stack fro. 10k to 17k. The. I had a pair of nines on a board of 852 and I re raised a 7 5 off suit who caught 4 on the river. The hand didn’t kill me but crippled me. Frustrating but the nature of the beast. Went out 71 and money at 50.
Worked all day with attorneys then headed to school for the parent teacher meeting. Lincoln has been running into a bully in his classroom and I need to know the school’s policy. I’m satisfied they are all over the situation. Glad I went, even though it backs up homework and reading.
Did the usual then took Kat to the airport to get back to her life. Headed to Bellagio as thought a friend and business partner was in today. In all the rush, I got the dates wrong. Dont often do that He comes in later in the week. Oh well. Bellagio fun, as usual but their small tournaments are a drag. Make the final table but three shy of the money. That’s no fun!
Rough but successful business projec week. Drug back in late tonight. Could use a good long sleep but am committed to work in the Children’s classrooms tomorrow. Can’t – and wouldn’t – miss that.
