On the Road Again
Trying to get work done. Looks like Bellagio’s schedule is all screwed up and they’ve changed some of those thousand dollar rebuy only tournies. Told them when I was there I would never play those (hate re-buys). Doubt that had any effect but looks like they’ve changed things. Would play today but committed to the Poker Forum, really enjoyed it. An interesting hand came into play … always learning.
Thinking about playing Venetian tomorrow. We shall see.

On the Road Again
What a day, back to school and no one, including mom, wanted to get up this morning. Being able to sleep in is a true luxury I’ve rarely afforded myself, but the week break made it a mandate. What a luxury. Both Don and Kathleen had planes this afternoon so it was there and a mad dash to pick up L and S from school. Nice.

On the Road Again
We got up Sunday and headed back home, everything was closed for the Holiday and we finally found a decent place to eat. Needless to say my sister and I were getting a little tired of kids’ food types but didn’t pick a good day to insist on “real” food (further defined as restaurants where we went inside and had real knives and glasses, ha). Traffic was moderate but not too bad. When we got home the Easter Bunny had in fact visited and it was a big time. We brought Don fine wines and real sourdough bread from San Francisco so he was very happy. I was just happy to get to my big tub. Yes, I know I write about my big tub a lot but it is one of my true luxuries in life to have a hot soak with lots of bubbles, not something in abundance flying through life.

On the Road Again
What started this whole trip was Lincoln’s obsession with seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Well we’ve seen it, from top to bottom, toured Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf. Been fun but time to head south, hopefully to warmer weather and work our way back home. Headed to L. A. for tonight, play a charity event at the Bike on Saturday then home sweet home on Sunday. Been an awful lot of fun …and with the exception of the big bag of fresh garlic I bought in Gilroy, CA (garlic capital of the world) which is now smelling up the car, a good trip.

On the Road Again
We stayed about 40 miles from SF as there was a Hilton (the kids favorite), movies, good food and shopping and we were ready to get off the road. Lincoln and I went to the movie and Kat took Sierra swimming, fun time.
This morning we went to my good friend Tony Fazio’s home in the heart of San Francisco and got the grand tour. Weather held for four hours before the bottom dropped out and it rained buckets. We finally got back to our hotel late.

It sure is cold this high up in the mountains, snow everywhere and so much fog we can’t see the car. Informed we can’t keep going straightforward as the snow is hitting on the road to Fresno so have to go back the way we came. Can’t wait to get back to civilization. Headed to San Francisco from here, shall see how far we get.
