Poker today was up and down. First I call a preflop raise with 99 and the small blind goes all in and is called by the original raiser. I have to fold. The flop comes down 9 high rainbow .. if I had still been in I would have had my chips in there and would have been called by the original raiser’s KK and watched him hit a set on the river. So was saved there.
Then I have KK, there’s already a raise and some calls in front of me. So I reraise to isolate and two stay in. Flop comes down A Q 10 all spades. Do you think I might have the K of spades, of course not and there’s an All In bet in front of me so all I can do is fold. Aggravating but called poker.
Managed to get my chip stack going again, call a pre flop raise with A K of hearts, flop comes K 8 7 with two hearts, original raiser does a continuation bet of more than 2/3’s my stack and of course I’m in there -only to find he has a set of eights and I don’t improve. Such a frustrating game.
Oh well off to San Diego tomorrow.

Sounds like the poker gods have it in for both of us lately, Nancy. I can’t seem to win a tournament lately no matter what I have. If I have a set they have a bigger one, and so on. You certainly seem to take it better than I do. You have so much resilience it’s amazing. I love the way you just shake it off and tackle another one.
